Today I mercy killed a bumblebee. I was walking home from school and I saw it in my path, it was on it’s back and it’s legs were scrambling desperately. Being the pathetic girly-boy I am, I took a random twig and tried to flip the bumblebee over so that it could fly away. Little did I know that the poor thing was missing a wing. It was devastating for me to see the poor thing scrambling to get back in the air, as it flipped again onto it’s back, scrambling desperately with it’s legs again. It took a me a few minutes, but I finally dug up the nerve, and gave the poor little create a very quick, hard swat, rather than let it lie there, and starve to death or get eaten. It was one of the more traumatic moments of my life.
